Nha mirri bukmak, dhipala Dhambay Rom website. - Hi everyone, welcome to the Sharing Culture website.

Sharing Culture programs offer you the opportunity to interact with Aboriginal Culture like you've never seen before. The award winning resources introduce some of the cultural, artistic and language aspects using examples of the Yolngu people of NE Arnhem land. All content and resources are developed by Indigenous people to ensure that cultural aspects are represented appropriately and retain their authenticity.

We've got a range of programs that are designed for you to use at home and a range for schools and educators. Great care has gone into developing our authentic educational programs, ensuring they:

  • meet the approval of Senior Indigenous Education Officers from DETA and QSA; Yolngu Elders and community; as well as Indigenous community members from across Australia;
  • are fun and engaging for children;
  • are easy to use by anyone aged 3 and up;
  • are culturally appropriate;
  • give Indigenous children a sense of pride and equality by providing a positive cultural representation in activities and tasks;
  • enable non-Indigenous children gain a better understanding of Aboriginal people and cultures;
  • promote tolerance and cross-cultural awareness;
  • assist in closing the gap on Indigenous education and on racism;
  • give teachers access to resources that assist them in their role and provide them with an easy to use framework and materials to help achieve positive learning outcomes
