Sharing Culture is a family business that is destined to share and educate others about Australian Aboriginal culture. The content and knowledge used throughout our products is from the Yolngu people of NE Arnhem Land.
Our goal is to share with the wider public the beliefs, language, artwork and daily practices of the Yolngu community through educational programs. We strive to ensure that our products are fun, educational and user friendly for all ages.
Our products have been designed to educate and entertain in an effort to share this unique culture. Our hope is for all Australians to be aware and informed about the Indigenous people of this land.
As parents of Aboriginal children, we would like more than anything to see more Aboriginal content introduced into the school curriculum and childcare centres so our children and other Indigenous children will have something to identify with and feel proud of.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to develop an understanding and appreciation for Australian Indigenous cultures and a healthy respect can be maintained for each others differences.
Our programs are designed to Share Knowledge; Promote Awareness and Strengthen Culture of Australian Aboriginal people.
We strive to provide high quality products that are Fun; Informative; Educational; Entertaining and Easy to Use.
OUR COMMITMENT
Sharing Culture is committed to promoting positive aspects of Aboriginal culture and knowledge and improving educational opportunities for Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. We will continue to expand our range of products with a strong focus on creating more understanding, awareness and respect for cultural differences through fun and engagement. A percentage of the proceeds from sales of Sharing Culture products will also be donated to the Yolngu community to help preserve traditional knowledge and culture.
OUR INSPIRATION

Children are our inspiration. They are the future. Our product range has been inspired by our own children. Like many Aboriginal people, they have to live in two different societies and will need to adapt to two very different sets of beliefs, values and laws. It is our hope that in educating the wider public about these differences, we can help bring about an understanding for those who face these types of challenges and an acceptance of peoples differences.

Our inspiration has also come from our ancestors and our Grandfather Narritjin Maymuru. Mari (Grandfather) had a vision and believed that by educating the wider public he could create more respect for our people and our land. He foresaw the influences of western society and the threat to his people and our ancient culture.
